It's not just half the speed—it's the gap between MHz and MT/s. Manufacturers list RAM at 3600 MHz but it's actually 1800 MHz and 3600 MT/s. You can verify this on Google. The Task Manager displaying speed in MHz is incorrect too; it was fixed recently to show MT/s. Seeing 16 GB in RAM seems odd—try using a Live USB to check if the issue lies with your current Windows setup.

The part number refers to the 16GB (2x8GB) model available at the provided link. Are you certain you selected the correct unit? Do you have the packaging or receipt with you?

It's puzzling how Corsair changed the process of assigning stick models—now they set them based on the kit instead of the individual stick. Previously, the model number gave a clear indication of the stick size at a glance.

I constructed this machine around 2 years and a half ago, but you're correct I might have made a mistake. I remember thinking I had 32GB, yet the label on one of the drives said 16GB. Upon closer inspection it shows 16GB (double 8GB). Probably just a user error! Thanks everyone for your comments!
