yea mixing and matching memory sticks isn't a good idea really, so that is probably why your memory is acting strange, i could be wrong ...but if you were ever forced to mix memory sticks you'll have to make sure that they at least use the same bus... and you'll have to be aware that the speedier stick of memory will throttle down to match the speed of the slower stick... and even then there will be no guarantee that it will work at all.

BIOS update or configuration settings often cause issues. Mixing RAM sizes isn't recommended and may lead to problems. It's possible a faulty chip or module is the cause. Have you only checked the 8GB modules and not the 16GB ones?

Thank you for your message. I've checked all options. Neither stick is affected; it displays 16 when using two 16GB modules, and 8 when using two 8GB modules. The RAM modules are consistent in speed.

Did you possibly lose your CPU? It could be due to excessive memory usage channels.

One post showed a similar problem. It might be resolved by resetting the BIOS to "Optimal default settings." Perhaps worth a shot (if you haven't already).

It appears to be a typical Ryzen issue. Confirm the sticks are arranged properly and test performance at reduced speeds. If it works, adjust XMP/DOCP settings or manually set input values, and slightly increase DRAM and SoC voltages.
