Hello, over the years I've used ADSL at 8mb, but today I switched to fiber at 200mb. My ISP router supports four gigabit Ethernet ports, and I'm using a CAT5e cable with my TP-Link TG-3468 adapter. All speed tests indicate 100mb upload and download, while Windows Network Center shows 100mb. I've set the adapter to 1.0Gbps, restarted both devices, changed the ports, and installed the official and Windows drivers—still nothing different. My MSI Z97 gaming motherboard has a damaged LAN port, an i5 4460 GTX1060 with 6GB RAM, and a DDR3 router (model gr241ag).
Yes, there are other laptops and PCs that support gigabit connections.
