Only Ethernet available, no Wi-Fi support.
Hey there, I built my first PC and ran into some issues after the setup. While installing Windows, I was asked to connect to the internet, but only Ethernet was available. I tried resetting it, but that didn’t help. Then I opened the command prompt to bypass that step, but after finishing the installation process, I’m still without a connection. I’ve checked videos for guidance, but they all seem to end in frustration. I’m not sure if I made any mistakes during assembly or if there’s something wrong with the settings. My PC was expensive, so I really want it to work properly. Also, I found out Bluetooth isn’t functioning as expected. Any tips would be super helpful!
We offer various hardware-based Wi-Fi solutions. You can download the necessary drivers onto a USB drive and install them yourself. Note that Windows does not include built-in Wi-Fi drivers.
Windows may not include the necessary WiFi chipset for your motherboard. If you have another computer available, locate the manufacturer’s website for your motherboard, obtain network-specific drivers, save them to a USB drive, transfer the drive to your new system, and install the software.
Is it correct that the GPU needs to be placed in the top x16 slot for optimal performance? Running slower without it can happen.
Hardware details: Motherboard model not specified; no built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth detected. If present, connect via Ethernet cable or purchase a Wi-Fi adapter. If absent, you’ll need to link the device to a router using an Ethernet cable or obtain a compatible adapter. Installing drivers is typically done from the manufacturer’s website onto a USB drive.
The GPU size suggests a 3x16 physical board, possibly running at x8 performance compared to the CPU. Since I can't identify the exact model, it might not be the main limiting factor. It's likely the GPU stays cooler in the top slot because airflow from the front intakes isn't as strong here.
