I haven't encountered that before on my Plex server. (It runs on a Windows machine) Have you tried turning on subtitles while the media plays compared to before it started? Also, I've noticed the Tizen app for Plex tends to have more problems than others in my experience. My method of adding subtitles is either embedding them directly into the .mp4 file or using a subtitle file with the same name as the movie, which works on all devices I've used.
