Only AMD RAM? That’s a unique setup!
I’m exploring options for a Minecraft server on an older PC. I noticed that “amd only” RAM is significantly cheaper compared to non-AMD options. Does this “amd only” memory just serve as marketing, or does it actually impact performance? Since my system already has an overclocked Pentium E5700, I’m planning to upgrade the CPU next. Thanks!
Back then, like with AM2+/AM3+/AM3, there were specific RAM options tailored for AMD. When it comes to DDR4, it just means the memory was confirmed to work with an AMD CPU, not necessarily an Intel one. It's mostly marketing language.
You're considering DDR4, but it doesn't support only AMD modules.
I’m talking about ddr3. This is the link: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-2x-16GB-2Rx4...SwtDRfKn1m
