I recently assembled this build and it appears to fix one problem while another persists. After booting Windows, everything works fine. But after a restart, the screen fails to appear unless I reset the CMOS battery. A red LED now signals an issue with the DRAM. The display also started shutting down abruptly before going black. I’m unsure if it’s a dead CMOS battery or a GPU problem and feel overwhelmed—do I need to take it in?

It would have been helpful to explore the alternative subject, which provides more background on the problem. Consider testing a different cable or screen to eliminate possibilities. Could you share the power supply’s wattage rating? Also, have you run the Windows memory diagnostic utility?

I'm sorry, I should have checked that earlier—I thought it was the CMOS but then other problems appeared. I used a quality display and HDMI that worked on another system yesterday. I’ll definitely look into running a diagnostic. It’s really confusing because the drawing issues seem linked to both the display and the CMOS. I’m not sure what’s going on and how to fix it. Thanks again for your help.
