I've seen several files and folders go missing, even though I've relied on them a lot.

Adjusted the main boot device settings in BIOS. It helped restore the operating system. You should be able to choose a drive in BIOS and start booting manually now.

I attempted various fixes—going back to earlier versions, using safe mode, exploring advanced settings. Eventually, I managed to recover my drive and connect it to another machine to retrieve the data. After that, I reinstalled the operating system, which took a considerable amount of time, but having all drivers ready made the process much faster on an SSD.

You experienced another blue screen with a memory management error. It seems you might be facing RAM problems.

You're seeing blue screen errors linked to a recent update, especially after cleaning up the system. This often points to memory management problems caused by the update process.

I just reinstalled and updated my GPU drivers.there might have been something fishy there. I had to remove AMD software manually and install 18.5, than i could upgrade to 18.10.1. I hope that that was what was causing BODs. Also another boot failure. BIOS, reset boot priority. It's a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Rev. 1. The board is old. I wonder if BIOS battery is a issue. I will see what the driver does. It always seem to corrupt on feature updates. I have had to do this many times on this PC. Question now is should I replace CMOS battery?

When will they fix bugs w/ 1809 update. I will see what happens. I already ran disk cleanup on all system folders so there is no rollback for me. I got a few blue screens the night I updated GPU drivers. Also had trouble installing GPU drivers. I had to manually remove driver with add and remove programs. Screen was flickering before correcting driver issues. it was a pain in the ass. Sometimes start with a earlier revision works. I will let forum know stability progress. It was stable last night 10/13/2018. Checking for driver updates may help after feature updates. As per boot config changing in BIOS, I don't know. I hope Microsoft stops with feature upsets, I mean Updates.

Requires additional cumulative updates or confirmation for the initial setup. The term QC isn't just testing—it leads to errors as well.

It was said that in 1809 files were removed and Microsoft took it off the market: https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2018/10/even-...perations/
