Hey everyone! Just got my desktop up and ready for some tough games. I downloaded Star Citizen, started it, and noticed the screen gets cut off about a third. Anyone else face this problem? It’s like the display doesn’t let me adjust any graphics settings while playing. Interestingly, printscreen didn’t capture the issue either.

You’re new to this—what’s your setup? Tell me about your graphics card, screen, and the resolution you’re using.

I understand my memory isn't quite what it should be since I only have 8GB and keep getting prompts to upgrade. For the rest of the system; CPU is an Intel i5 6600, GPU is ASUS GTX 970, monitor is Westinghouse TV with 1920x1080 resolution. I do see the TV flashing and indicating it's running in 1080i mode when the game starts—could that be related?

Ugh! All my monitors are at my parents' place, I wouldn't even fit another one until I move in. I'll look into the TV settings just in case! This game is really missing me, and I'm also going to check Discord!

Test at 720p to check if the problem persists. It might relate to overscan settings; otherwise, verify if your TV allows direct point-to-point referencing, typically found in the aspect ratio menu.

Reduced the game resolution successfully. Switched to Windows settings, adjusted to 1280x720, returned to original, and fixed the issue. Updated in-game resolution to 720, then restored Windows settings to 1080p. Thanks!

Make sure to review your graphics control panel and verify if you can adjust the overscan settings.
