You're facing an issue where streaming platforms don't deliver 1080p or higher resolution, even though you use Opera GX regularly. Other browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Edge consistently show lower resolutions such as 480p or 720p. Only Netflix and YouTube seem to work across all your browsers. You've tried disabling hardware acceleration and following various tutorials, but nothing seems to resolve the problem.

Yes, it works similarly with Windows apps for Netflix and others. Your internet speed might affect performance, and lower speeds often result in reduced resolution or buffering. Firefox can handle 1080p, though not 4K consistently.

It functions properly in the Netflix app but not in Disney+ or other applications. Your internet speed is 250/250 Mbit.

Regarding your ISP, I understand that certain carriers' hotspots restrict video quality to around 720p.

The streaming resolution is being reduced. It's not just lowering to 720p, but the blurring also affects the quality. (Check the Reddit link.) I've used the "User-Agent Switcher for Chrome" extension to try bypassing the browser detection, using it as a TV app or browser. Orculus 3 web browser works fine. I've experimented with Oracle VirtualBox and installing Android TV on it. Anyone have alternative suggestions besides that? Maybe a LinusTechTip video could help?
