Hey everyone, I recently set up my gaming PC and here are the specs: motherboard is A320MK, CPU is Ryzen 3 3200G, GPU is Vega 8, RAM is Patriot DDR4 8GB at 2400MHz. The issue is that I installed 8GB but only 5.93GB is actually usable. Windows doesn’t handle the remaining space well, which makes gaming terrible—I can’t play games smoothly and they often stutter or freeze. I tried using msconfig to stop unnecessary apps during boot, but the memory option didn’t help. I’m considering adding another 8GB of RAM, which would really improve things. Any suggestions?

That's what we anticipated. A bit of RAM is needed to keep the OS running. Remove the existing RAM and install at least 3000mhz memory, preferably a 2x8GB configuration. I suggest using G. Skill Ripjaws for this setup.

The 2gb memory will be set aside for the integrated graphics card in your 3200g system.

Maybe consider upgrading your RAM if you're experiencing performance issues.

It would also make sense to reduce the RAM allocated to the GPU so that more memory remains available for less demanding tasks. The iGPU can handle more than a certain threshold if needed.

Thanks! I believe I’ll purchase the G.Skill Aegis 8GB (1x8GB) at 2666MHz since it should suit my Ryzen processor.

Confusing memory isn't wise. Using three sticks isn't ideal. Stick with two or four identical part numbers.
