I understand the need for an SSD in modern gaming, but I can't leave outside these days. I'm still using a 7200 rpm hard disk and it's holding up. Are there any hidden tips to cut down loading times in RDR2 Online? It feels like everything loads slower than before—my HDD is the same as others, yet it takes so long. Smart values seem fine, but what could be making this game lag so much? Any suggestions?

There are no secret methods to boost loading times. The main factors depend on how swiftly data travels between your storage, RAM, and CPU, as well as the quality of your internet connection for downloading and uploading information to stay online. The best improvement comes from organizing and defragmenting your existing drive (which may offer only small benefits), ensuring its storage usage stays under 80%, or switching to an SSD for a significant speed increase.

What else about your equipment do you have? Your hard drive is just one piece of the puzzle. And could you avoid ordering anything through the internet?

I have a 4-core Intel CPU and a 4GB graphics card, running Windows 10 with 16 gigabytes of RAM on a desktop setup. Unfortunately, I can't place orders online.

Considering a 4-core CPU and an Intel 1060 might not be ideal for gaming. The card works fine, but it seems your CPU could be limiting performance. What model is it? You can check by typing "dxdiag" in the Windows key and pressing Enter. Then CTRL+Shift+S to capture a screenshot of the full specifications.

Thank you, I plan to defrag my hard drives now, as I haven't done that for a while.
