I’m experiencing around 90 ping during online play and these annoying stutters. It only happens when playing, not when offline, so the issue might be related to the connection.

Retard alert... 90 ping... unsure if it's the cause. My usual is around 40, but some say it slows down even at 60

90 ping is too high for a Source Engine game. Check your ping in other games or try pingtest.net for a test.

Enable net_graph to track your rates, FPS, choke and loss. Likely the problem is with rates. Also consider disabling multicore rendering in video settings.

I changed some drivers and restarted the system. Pingtest showed 31ms, but once I played the game, ping improved to around 73ms. No more issues occurred afterward. This was the first game where I faced such problems.
