Online issue, YouTube functions properly, yet speedtest.net fails to load at all.
Hi, I'm just starting out with this topic. My dad has a four-story home where internet issues are common. There are four routers in the building—three connected to the main one on the first floor and one IPS device. The main router is powered by my IPS (EURO DOCSIS® 3.1 WIFI EMTA), while the other three are TP-Link AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 devices. My internet speed from the IPS is 1Gb/s download and 60Mb/s upload. When I try to stream videos on YouTube, it works fine, but longer videos or speed tests fail. The problem seems consistent across all routers, so it might be with the first router or the IPS itself. In command prompt, pinging Google worked, but traceroute showed delays on the second and third hops. Could it be that the first router is struggling with cache or RAM?
They seem to be operating in their standard 'router' setting? What's the reason behind that? A lot of NAT is involved. Check the router's manual for AP mode details. Those numbers aren't model identifiers—they're specific features. The model should be listed on a sticker near your ISP device. This is because of how you've configured it.
