One game to have
One game to have
Hi guys, I'm setting up my first PC and looking for a game to play with it. I used to have a Mac and mostly played Dota 2, so I don’t have much experience with other games beyond watching them online. I’m aiming for something with great graphics art and no pay-to-win mechanics. What do you think is the best single game for me?
I just started Outer Worlds yesterday and have already sunk more hours than I'd like to admit into it.
It's amazing, looks great and has some pretty funny dialogue. It's on Gamepass if you wanted to try it
I don't really have one favorite game. Of course I can decide which games I've played the most, which are:
- Skyrim (Special Edition)
- Dirt 3 (no longer available on Steam)
- Sonic Generations
The latter two are only interesting if you own a controller.
What kind of game you should choose depends on your personal taste. Personally I like singleplayer games, but maybe you'd prefer something with multiplayer? Shooter? Fighter? Platformer?
There are numerous excellent titles to explore...
Hitman 2
Splinter Cell Black List
The Witcher 3
Nier:Automata
GTA V
Assassin's Creed (any)
Just Cause 3 or 4
It really comes down to what you're looking for, as genres differ quite a bit but all are solid options.
Rainbow six siege on pc is really enjoyable and I believe it's now just 20 USD.
If you're looking for single-player third-person experiences, the Just Cause titles offer an entertaining experience. The core idea involves randomly detonating objects while engaging in zip lining and parachuting activities. These games are often available at discounted prices because they lean toward older releases.
Currently, I spend less time playing these games, so my focus is mainly on Insurgency Sandstorm and War Thunder. Insurgency is straightforward and easy to grasp if you're familiar with first-person shooters; it combines arcade-style action with some simulation aspects, giving the impression of a more complex FPS than the actual gameplay demands.
War Thunder has been my favorite since 2013. I've invested significantly in it and continue to play it, hoping for further updates. The game features thousands of combat vehicles ranging from the 1930s to today, which is impressive. It looked great back in 2013 and hasn't become outdated much, though graphics quality has declined somewhat. It's skill- and strategy-driven, making it challenging for newcomers unless they enjoy historical vehicles and are willing to master advanced tactics like flying, tanking, sailing, and driving.
At one point, I was among the top 3% of players, which is why War Thunder stands out as a game I don’t feel particularly lacking in. It’s also appealing because it’s regularly updated with new content, offers something unique, and has a solid community across US, European, and Russian servers (though we don’t discuss the AUS/SEA or Chinese versions).
War Thunder features various PvP modes allowing players to compete against each other in different scenarios.
