my nfs server is running on my computer and I'm connecting it to another machine on the same network. Will it work for that device?

It needs to be set up on the local machine, especially if linked to an account—then just one person can log in and play at once. Could be worth trying.

It's not recommended to start games from shared directories. You may succeed if the game doesn't require folders or is unrelated to any accounts.
