One day with two power supply failures
One day with two power supply failures
I am assembling two high-performance PCs. One is fully working with a 750W cooler and master PSU. The other is brand new, featuring a 650W Corsair PSU, and I transferred some components from the working PC to its case and motherboard. When I powered both up, they failed completely—both stopped working and failed the basic connection test. I heard a faint soft click, and when checking other pins with a multimeter (while the paper clip was bridging pins 4 and 5), I saw no voltage. One PSU is nearly three years old, while the new Corsair unit seems to be dead. It’s strange both failed at the same time. I didn’t do anything unusual or disrupt the PC while it was connected. All connections were perfect and correct. What could have caused this?
