I had used my PC for less than 24 hours before the issue. I was playing PUBG when it suddenly stopped working. It felt like someone cut the power supply. Once it restarted, Windows 10 *latest version* started updating automatically. Still frustrated. After logging in, the system crashed severely. The error message displayed was "Windows 10 inaccessible boot device." I checked RAM, GPU, power supply, and keyboard/mouse settings. Everything seemed fine. BIOS showed the system was live and even listed "INTEL BOOT" which suggested Windows Boot Manager should work as before. But I couldn’t boot into my operating system. I have 2-3 years of important data—taxes, finances, company work—and a backup from four months ago. Still, I’m unsure if it can be restored. Have others experienced this? I’ve searched everywhere—YouTube, forums, Reddit—but nothing helped. Just tried a brand new USB stick from the Windows site. It loads but refuses to proceed past the "next" screen asking for Windows install or repair. I’ve tested all USB ports and five different sticks. So far, nothing works for me.
Someone could easily assist in making you happy by giving a gift card, Zelle, or PayPal for your time. I’m juggling a big work project and haven’t saved much. This would help since I rely more on the machine for work than for gaming. I’m remembering to do daily backups but often skip them until every 4-6 months.
As per my initial message in the thread, this approach has already been attempted.
