Hey there! I'm just starting out and have been using my custom PC for about two and a half months. A lot of thanks to Linus's YouTube guides for helping me along the way. So far everything has worked well, but today something changed. I noticed three lights on the DIMM in slot number 2 have frozen off. These are Trident Z Royals. The picture I sent shows them when I turned everything off and still stayed that way, no matter what settings or tools I tried. I've been using Aurasync until now, but even after installing "Gskill Trident Z Lighting Control," the issue persists. My system runs on a ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard with BIOS version 3801, which I installed right when this PC started up. I'm not super tech-savvy, even though I built it myself, so I don't have many ideas on how to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a ton! P.S. I’m curious if this matters since the DIMM was added later—probably got them for Christmas and double-checked they matched before installing. Thanks again!

Today the lights are functioning properly. It's unclear if they recovered after last night's shutdown or if the issue was caused by my actions. To prevent this, I downloaded Gskill Trident Z Lighting Control, changed one of its settings (disabling RAM lights in Aurasync), powered down my PC for the night, briefly turned it off, then back on. After a short pause, everything started correctly and no freezing occurred. I'm relieved it wasn't a major problem—my custom build is working great!
