Old setup using B450 board stops showing videos (all graphics cards affected)
Hello, I’m facing difficulties in getting video output from my setup. It’s tricky to find help online, and I’m unsure if the problem lies with my graphics card or something else. I’ve tested multiple cards—Radeon RX 570, RTX 1650, and Radeon 7870—and none are producing video on DVI or HDMI. Other components like the CPU, SSD, and RAM seem fine. Recently, the CPU’s debug LED started flashing, which suggests a hardware fault. I’ve tried connecting the RX 570 to the RTX 1650 in different slots, but it still doesn’t work. Switching to the RTX 1650 in PCI-E1 helped temporarily, yet the issue persists. I also tested the 7870 in both slots, but video output remains absent. My PSU is a Corusa TX 650, which should provide sufficient power, though it’s quite old and might be struggling with age. I’m also concerned about possible damage to my PCI-E connections or motherboard. With only 650W available, I suspect the power supply isn’t delivering enough, possibly due to age-related degradation.
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I don't have another CPU compatible with that socket to test.
I purchased a new power supply unit but didn't install it properly. Instead, I bought a new B550 motherboard and the RTX 1650 is functioning again, along with normal computer operation. It seems the CPU wasn’t the issue. I haven’t tested the RX 570 yet; maybe I made a mistake and now it’s damaging my motherboard. I might try it tomorrow and share an update if anyone is interested.
