I purchased a pre-assembled system a few years ago featuring a G10Dk 5600x&3060. At that time, I had a B550 motherboard and acquired a DDR4 2x8 kit from Corsair Vengeance along with the included 16GB stick. Everything seemed fine until I replaced it with a new DDR4 2x32 Crucial kit. Initially, I intended to use only the new RAM and give the old one to a friend. However, after installing the new RAM, Windows won't load properly. I managed to boot into BIOS and confirmed the new RAM was present, but nothing from the Vengeance kit worked. After some troubleshooting—removing the CMOS battery, reconnecting the pins, and updating the UEFI to CSM—I still faced issues.

Can you retrieve your information from the storage device? A new setup with updated RAM could potentially fix the issue.

I can attempt it—I’ll let you know if it succeeds or fails.

It seems like you're wondering if BIOS settings might not have been updated, and that the Tetras suggestion appears to be effective when using Windows startup procedures.

Reinstalling Windows succeeded, then restarting resolved the issue and everything worked smoothly after booting. Thank you for your assistance.

It's odd to switch from Windows due to RAM issues. I'd run Memtest86 to confirm. Edited October 6, 2024 by leclod
