Oh my goodness!
Oh my goodness!
One night I forgot to power down my PC and it crashed. After restarting, it wouldn’t boot and I used the Windows Startup Repair. It kept showing a red screen with a secure boot message. I looked it up and turned off secure boot. Now the system boots but displays a black screen when I try to open BIOS. I’ve tried almost everything else—switching OS, changing RAM, updating drivers, even replacing the motherboard—but nothing worked. On my first new board install, I pressed Y to clear FTMP, otherwise N made it go black. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your message! The RAM came with the CPU in a bundled package, but it seems to have some issues. I had to exchange one stick before, and both passed Memtest86 before that. The BIOS settings weren’t returned to their original state. It’s unclear whether they sent me a new unit or just repackaged my old one due to minor scuffs, and the BIOS is still at its latest update. Would you mind sharing his thread so I can check if any of his suggestions might help resolve this problem?
I noticed the timing differences between your bios and the Ram stick. Could this variation influence its performance?
Have you experimented with starting from a single RAM stick in various slots?
