OG Supersampling
OG Supersampling
I've been experimenting with this original supersampling setup on my 60" LG Plasma TV (1920x1080). It's really impressive! The highest resolution I can achieve is 3200x1800, and games like Battlefield 3 and 4 looked great even without anti-aliasing. Gameplay felt smoother too—I usually get 60fps on ultra, but sometimes I experienced stutters. Now it runs much more fluidly. The only downside is that text, the radar, and other UI elements are so small I struggle to read them. It also makes my desktop look blurry and shortcuts appear tiny with fuzzy text. Mostly I stick to 1920x1080 for gaming and switch to 3200x1800 when I want higher resolution. Anyone have any tips to make the text and radar clearer? I really hope this helps, especially since I'm considering giving up on 1920x1080 altogether after seeing such high-quality results. Thanks!
Stuff like that scale with the HUD. If Battlefield 3 and 4 don't allow you to adjust the HUD, you can't do anything about it. As for fuzzy text on the desktop, it's because you're downsampling something that was designed to be rendered one and only one way.
I think I resolved it. As you mentioned, I just increased the HUD size and it returned to normal in BF. My desktop also looked fine again. I didn’t realize it before, but adjusting the control panel, appearance, text size, and icons helped. I guess I should’ve known about these settings earlier, haha.
