With many employees working remotely, I received feedback about slow laptop boot times. I also experienced similar delays with my own machine when disconnected from the domain network. In Event Viewer, the system attempted to reach the netlogon folder, but it wasn’t accessible until users connected via the company VPN. Is there a method to keep that folder available offline? I tried marking it as available in the offline view, but it didn’t work. Could anyone suggest a solution? Would this be useful for a single device or a group policy setup for all users? Also, is there another possible reason why Windows might hang on the “Please wait” screen for 1-2 minutes before allowing login? This issue seems to occur only when not connected to the domain network. When I use my notebook at work and plug in the cable, it boots instantly.
