Witcher was just a joke, especially when compared to Skyrim.
The original Witcher was decent for its era, but Witcher 2 and Skyrim offer distinct experiences. Skyrim provides an open world where you can do whatever you want, making it a fun and engaging game. Witcher 2, however, focuses more on storytelling, character development, and meaningful choices, which adds depth and interest. Both games are excellent in my view, and I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Witcher 3. The trailers are impressive, and the previews and reviews have been promising.
The Witcher 2 features a sealed environment with unseen barriers, making movement impossible and forcing players to navigate obstacles. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially with the combat debug mod in place. The decision-making process felt guided by choices rather than free will, as the tool prioritized player input.
My view is that both appeal to me, each offering a distinct approach within the same category.
