I possess only a single Android device and a handful of older models from 2006 built using Java JAR files, some SIM cards, and multiple computers. The first phone number registered on my genuine Android phone appeared on WhatsApp without any issues, but on a computer in VMware Workstation with Android LineageOS 14.1 it is not functioning properly.

WhatsApp is fully downloaded from the official website and installed in the latest version. I wish to create a WhatsApp account for each computer using a distinct phone number, allowing me to add new numbers without relying on an Android device. Currently, I already have one WhatsApp account linked to my Android phone, and I do not want to duplicate accounts via the Android phone to prevent confusion. I have several computers, and I desire each WhatsApp account to belong to a specific machine, with all accounts operating independently for different purposes.

All my computers run 64-bit Windows 10 22H2 Pro with VMware Workstation installed. Ideally, I would like an Android emulator running as a virtual environment inside VMware Workstation so that I don’t overload the system with additional applications, unless it’s a lightweight portable app or a website that simulates Android or iPhone. For instance, in LDPlayer and MEmu.

Would it be feasible to mount an empty hard drive on the computer, install Android, and decide at startup whether to launch Windows or Android? If I were to install CyanogenMod or LineageOS on an Android phone, would there be any issues with WhatsApp?

Could I continue using WhatsApp if I blocked all numbers in the app for spam, and would that require purchasing a new SIM card and registering WhatsApp with a different number?
