My licence is for one PC, and even though it's on another of my computers, my Microsoft account has a button to click for downloading? I understand some people might do questionable things, so before I download it to a new PC using my account, do I need to remove it from the current device?
Thank you for your message, that is exactly what I expected someone would say. In the 2007 version of the same program, there was a method to install it on as many PCs as needed and register it—of course, I won’t share how I did it, as it wouldn’t be right for me to do so. In 2002, I was informed about a way to extend the validity of a well-known AV by another 12 months without paying, yes, I understand it was incorrect. A PC chain store performed some work for me, and when I went to collect it, a representative told me I couldn’t continue doing what I had been doing anymore, as they had addressed the exploit. They didn’t explain how they knew what I had done.
Businesses have clearly stated their position on whether a consumer truly owns purchased software or merely has a license. The era of storing discs and using them across multiple computers is behind us. Now, if both devices are linked to the same MS account, you might retain the software on both. Microsoft could identify simultaneous online activity and disable it on one or more machines, requiring you to reactivate it elsewhere.
i won't be running it on two pc's since i'll only use my existing gaming rig for testing. i just wanted to confirm the proper method.
