Received an OEM 3060ti from DELL for my 2. PC, but it only functions in my primary system. The issue is that the 3080 runs perfectly there. I've tested various setups: both X16 and X4 PCIe slots, updated BIOS, reset BIOS, removed DDU drivers, and even used a PCIe riser. The main thing is: 3080 works on my primary machine while the 3060ti doesn't. My specs are: Processor – AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Graphics – MSI GeForce RTX 3080, RAM – 32 GB DDR4 at 3200 MHz, Motherboard – X570 AORUS ELITE, Power supply – be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum 850W. I’m torn about whether to upgrade my mainboard or stick with what I have.
Have you reviewed the Nvidia driver forums recently? There are particular concerns about the 3060Tis being detected in the newest driver release, appearing as an ongoing issue that depends on compatible hardware such as the motherboard chipset and/or BIOS. It might be worth checking older driver versions that support that GPU.
Theres only one bios version from 2020 before the latest one which I had before I flashed. I dont think its Nvidia Drivers thats at fault as I dont even get the Microsoft Display Adapter stuff I get when switching from the 3080 to the 3060ti and having to reinstall the GPU Driver before its correctly recognized. The 3060ti doesnt even show up in bios, it just shows the PCIe as "empty"

Hold on, you mentioned the BIOS doesn't display the card, but it shows PCIe as empty. Then you note you're only getting an x8 bus, which means the card is being recognized in the slot. What does the BIOS indicate when it says a slot is empty? If it reports that, Windows won't detect any hardware there, so drivers shouldn't be installed or loaded.
It seems the slot appears empty in your 2. PC with the 3060 Ti, yet functions properly with the 3080. The 3060 offers an x8 PCIe speed in your main PC, which is sufficient, though it uses x8 instead of x16.
Both cards function properly on a single PC, except for the X8 slot with the 3060Ti. This seems unusual since the 3080 works with the full X16 in the same setup. The 3080 is detected by the BIOS on the affected machine and recognized by Windows via the standard display driver. The 3060Ti, however, isn’t supported by the BIOS or the basic display driver. Since no riser cable was mentioned, it’s likely you didn’t use one. This could mean the BIOS is causing problems only when using one card (unlikely), or there’s an issue with the slot itself or the edge connector of the 3060Ti that affects performance in one machine but not another.
I needed to purchase a PCIe riser to test the 3080 since it was too large for the 2 PC's compact case. Only the x4 slot worked there as it was a bit short. It didn't function when I used it with the 3060ti, even in the x16 slot.
Purchased a fresh motherboard for the 2. PC, along with a Gigabyte model similar to the main one, and I’m aiming to ensure the 3060 Ti is properly recognized.
New motherboard (Gigabyte z390 Gaming X) still has the issue. The GPU isn't showing up in BIOS, and both PCIe ports are blank. It's hopeless.
