Odyssey of Assassins in a modern world A tale blending ancient intrigue with contemporary settings
Just a quick take on this game. I’m still thinking about it after a week of play. Usually I dive into COD BLOPS 4, DOOM 2016 or Final Fantasy for hours, but Assassins Creed Odyssey has kept me hooked. It’s been my only choice lately. I’m a working student, so I’ve had to use cheats occasionally to keep up with my character. Here’s the short list of what I enjoy: the visuals are stunning, it’s an open world that really feels like one, there are plenty of choices that steer the story in different directions, and the historical elements are top-notch. The game pulls you in well without being too distracting. Options for weapons and upgrades are varied, and the quests adapt to your progress—so as you level up, the challenges get tougher.
But there are some downsides: the XP system feels a bit repetitive, you spend a lot of time just grinding side quests to keep moving forward, and the controls are a bit awkward with the parkour mechanics. Upgrading ships is expensive, requiring a lot of resources. And honestly, the start was slow—using a cheat engine helped me get past early hurdles so I could actually play through. Overall, it’s a solid experience, but not without its quirks.
Hi, I’m also playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I enjoy it because it feels similar to Witcher 3. The only thing missing is a character creation feature. I’m frustrated with the recent update, especially the frequent “death by interface” problems—like being unable to quickly reach safety during fights. The power attack meter also gets stuck when using a dagger. I didn’t have to grind much until I reached level 48. Fast travel is rarely used, so collecting items and dealing with many sea battles make grinding unnecessary. The visuals are great at 4K resolution, though performance can be tough. Here are the settings I use to keep 60fps across the board at 4K. It cost me $30 and has definitely been worth it.
@jones177 Death by interface has been my main issue so far. I'm hoping to dodge when enemies swarm me, but instead my character stays on top of the wall. Worse still, unless I stop moving completely, I can't jump off. The parkour mechanics feel really bad.
I haven't managed to beat this game yet, but if you need something simpler, you can visit the Mrantifuns site and use a trainer. I just did it because I was tired of being outmatched by enemies only three levels above me. That game is huge even with cheats, but I still haven't cracked it.
The hardest part was losing a save, then making huge gains only to be attacked by a wild boar. That pushed me to rely on shortcuts. No need for a coach—reached 70 and 143 mastery in just under an hour. I stop using cheats during boss battles and other key moments for the real experience.
