The issue seems to be more about the software than the hardware settings. Turning off the monitors for CPU temperatures doesn't necessarily stop the polling to the CPU. You can still receive updates and data from the system even without visual feedback. The CAM software offers various display options, but it doesn't directly affect the underlying polling mechanism.
