I adjusted the res and view settings in Heroes V: Trives of the East, but it crashed when I chose 1080p. After restarting, I set the display to full screen and closed it. The entire desktop became unstable—only the game window area remained functional. It felt like something was wrong with the game itself. After a reboot, everything seemed normal again. That kind of issue is unusual; I wasn’t sure if it was a game problem or just my setup.

It seems the game attempted to adjust certain worldwide options. I’d only be concerned if it becomes overly repetitive.

It seems like you're referring to a game from around 2010 with a 4:3 aspect ratio for loading screens. Could you clarify what you're asking about?

I've got a few games that can shift the desktop while they're running and some odd behavior. If something goes wrong, it might not have had time to reset the settings. That's just my assumption.

I started it, then shut it down. No unusual behavior. I’ll experiment with the reset again—hope I can replicate what happened.

Sure, just make sure the system stayed stable and it was just the game, then everything should be fine.

The game stopped working—system stayed active but everything felt off. I tried changing the resolution from another source to 1080p, but it kept crashing. When I restarted it, it switched to windowed mode. After setting it to 1080p in windowed, it went full screen. The shadows looked really bad. Ubisoft is to blame. Also discovered the quality settings finally worked.

It seems Ubisoft isn't familiar with V-sync or frame limiting, and the game operates at 300 frames per second.
