I just got this CPU from an i5 7600k and want to reduce its voltage and temps since the stock settings seem a bit too high. What are the best choices? 1. Adjusting negative voltage offset 2. Performing manual overclocking (aim for 4.0-4.1Ghz) If you do manual OC, what voltage should you target? Should I disable or modify PBO or other configurations? Besides core voltage, should I tweak any other parameters? Also, is there a setting that lets the frequency drop when idle and rise when needed instead of staying fixed? Would also help to find a setting that extends the CPU's lifespan. You have a dark rock pro 4 with high airflow case, and you're using an Asus B550 Strix Gaming-F.

are you concerned about idle or load temperatures? Ryzen tends to run at high voltages for quick performance, so idle temps are usually elevated. i’d only consider undervolting when temperatures climb to 85-90°C under load. would you say that’s accurate?

I’ll be playing games mostly, staying idle between 38-45 minutes, and only see 50-65 during sessions. I’m looking to try lower voltages/temperatures and similar performance.

The temperatures are quite cool, but you don't need to be concerned about it.

These extremely cold conditions mean avoid lowering the voltage.
