Hi all! I've been trying to get my Oculus Quest 2 to play steamVR games with the Oculus link cable but I am getting horrible lag. Playing steamVR through Virtual Desktop is fine at 90hz, but with ~60ms delay and playing through the Oculus launcher and link cable is smooth as well. The problem seems to be the intetaction bewtween Link and SteamVR. Do you guys have any similar issues and any solutions to it? I've tried setting the OVR server process to High priority and nothing changed Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Cheers!

Which game are you attempting to play? However, I notice a similar but infrequent stuttering in HL:A, which is exclusive to SteamVR due to the translation layer between SteamVR and Oculus. It's not native, so it introduces some extra processing overhead (Rift S).

Even though my device is a GTX 980, I’m unsure if it would handle games well on the Quest 2’s original resolution—it really depends on the specific titles.

I've mainly been testing Beat saber but the game is playing at like 25fps. I am still waiting for the newest Oculus Link update though. Hoping it might help somewhat

I used Vader Immortal via the Oculus app, and everything functioned perfectly. It looks like your GPU is sufficient. Your CPU model is 4790K and it's operating around 60-70% usage.

For Beat Saber it's a bit odd, but you can launch it in Oculus mode by entering "-vrmode oculus" in Steam > Game Properties > Launch options.

The resolution in the Oculus Link program was adjusted to 1.7 times the native setting, which was too high for my GTX 980. At 1.0x it runs at a stable 90fps.
