OCing 6600k Good Voltage
OCing 6600k Good Voltage
I've started experimenting with overclocking and am doing well so far. My CPU runs smoothly at 6600k with a stable 4.6ghz and 1.300V at 50°C. Now I'm aiming for 4.7ghz, but the only consistent voltages are between 1.350 and 1.360. Since my PC is running nonstop for gaming, I'm worried about long-term effects on the CPU. It's holding up well in stress tests, maintaining temperatures between 65-75°C. Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 3
According to my perspective, 0.1GHz won't improve your gaming experience at all. You're extremely happy with your 4.6 @ 1.3v rating.

Strongly agree with popatim. Avoid becoming overly greedy.
You often notice individuals on this forum who heavily increased voltage for a significant overclock, only to have their CPU fail months later.
My son is running a 7-year-old computer with a big overclock, and it still functions because I didn’t raise the core voltage excessively....
If I were you, I might lower my CPU to 4.5GHz and test how much more I could reduce the voltage.
