OCCT displays numerous errors.
OCCT displays numerous errors.
So OCCT reports numerous errors during the initial power test. After waiting 30 minutes, I retried and everything worked without issues. What’s happening or what’s the cause?
Here’s the complete situation:
I encountered problems with Rocket League and other applications (0xc0000005 error in the event viewer). All games seem to change at every startup. I searched online and reached out to Nvidia, Microsoft, and Epic Games for assistance, but they didn’t seem able to help much. That led me to conduct some hardware tests. I use OCCT, which detected many errors during a power test. It ran four times and only once triggered the error. All other stability tests passed. I even installed an older GPU driver using ddu, cleaned my Windows installation multiple times, and tried drivers from the motherboard website (ASUS B660M PLUS WIFI D4). The issue persists. I’m not concerned about experiencing such problems. There should be no freezing or stuttering; something feels off. I’m really unsure what to do next. Also, I rarely get responses from Nvidia, Microsoft, or Epic anymore. It seems reasonable to expect at least one answer per week. Should I consider returning the GPU? I purchased this PC about three years ago. I don’t usually modify Windows after installation. I set my power settings to performance mode, 240Hz, and turned off the game bar. In the Nvidia panel, I enabled ultra low latency mode, but I’ve also tried turning it off. My preference is maximum performance. The BIOS has fast boot disabled and secure boot enabled with a custom key. I’ve also tried standard settings. There’s no overclocking, not even XMP, so the problem lies in everything being overclocked. The display is VESA certified. Additionally, when I plug my PC into a different power outlet, the TV screen goes black for a few seconds. Now I’m trying to run the computer on another outlet.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and help me.
Which power supply unit are you using? Is the motherboard BIOS current?
My power supply is a 750W Coolermaster MPE-7501-ACABW.
The BIOS is current.
how old is the psu?
which power connectors are suitable for the gpu? do you need an adapter or a single cable from psu with two plugs, or two cables from psu with two plugs?
are there other issues, such as problems while gaming?
did you overclock the gpu?
was the test conducted with identical parameters and did the gpu maintain the same frequencies and temperature?
Oh dear, this could be its final day. I've seen it many times before! The repairman who first checked it said it was done, but it's not truly finished! The GPU is perfect. You might need to "UNDERCLOCK" it. Try it now. Check the instructions. Time is short, but you have enough! You must act quickly—it could be risky. It will still work and improve game speed.
1. Download msi afTerburner.
2. Reduce clock speed by 20 MHZ.
3. Lower GPU memory clock significantly. Avoid going too low, or it may cause problems.
4. Bring me your results. I can assist greatly—this GPU has lasted over six years since this issue started!
But what if I didn't encounter these errors when I executed it a couple more times?
I don't know how old it is. It's a pre-order PC, so I didn't build it myself. I don't know that either. It seems to have PCI-E cables.
Yes, the games are changing constantly. Not freezing or stutters just every startup makes feels different than two minutes ago.
No.
OCCT was there too.
