While using Chrome, sometimes a black checkboard pattern pops up on the screen. This usually happens when I search for something. Sometimes it makes my typing get messed up. It happened on both Chrome and Steam. I'm wondering if the wallpaper setting might be causing this. The glitch comes out pretty fast, but I can't take a screenshot because it doesn't happen often enough to record easily. I don't know how computers work very well, so please explain this in simple words if you can. Please tell me what is going on!
I get this problem happening in Chromium Edge too. I think if I switched off the hardware acceleration, it might not come up again, but it's really rare so it isn't a big deal for me.
I've seen this happen in both Edge and Chrome too. If you turn off Hardware Acceleration, everything should slow down a bit. Your computer's fans might get louder and your temperatures go up a little.
It looks like switching the renderer could solve the problem without stopping your graphics speed. I changed the settings in Edge to use D3D9, and now I don't see those checkered patterns anymore.
