Occasionally the computer halts unexpectedly.
My computer occasionally stops working. Initially, I faced some update problems but resolved them with a reset. Now it keeps freezing. I suspect hardware problems, though I'm not sure. It costs a lot and is really annoying. I play Star Citizen, and about 90% of the time I close the game it freezes my PC. Recently, I turned it off and then back on to see it freeze in the locked screen. Consider the possibility of instability or software problems. Check the Event Viewer for error details. Attempt to reproduce the issue and verify the error. Are there any CPU or GPU overclock settings? Would removing them help? Reset your BIOS settings back to defaults if needed. See if the problem appears during stability tests and share the results. Run memory and CPU diagnostics using OCCT. Where did your Windows installation originate? Was it downloaded from a new source or elsewhere? Are there any unnecessary software installed (including manufacturer tools)?
