Occasionally experience a drop in power for USB and AIO devices.
I recently assembled this PC around a month ago and have encountered sporadic problems where power is lost to peripherals like the keyboard, mouse, headset, and USB devices such as external drives. The AIO LCD also experiences brief glitches but remains on. These issues occur when connected via the built-in USB ports or the case's USB slots. I've updated the chipset and the motherboard BIOS, but the PC fails to reset and no further changes occur during these events. Occasionally it happens multiple times within half an hour, sometimes for hours without interruption, and other times it never occurs. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Can you please state the version for your BIOS? As for your platform, can you open up Device Manager and see if anything is flagged with a yellow exclamation mark? Did you install all drivers relevant to your platform in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator?
Consider checking for any loose parts. Remove the cover, disconnect any wires connected to USB ports, and reattach them securely.
My previous computer also experienced power loss to the monitor at times. After replacing a graphics card that didn't work, I suspected a motherboard issue. Normally it would resolve itself, but eventually it stopped functioning and the PC became unusable, leading me to purchase a new one. Additionally, I've encountered USB problems with every computer over the past 12+ years.
You might need a new motherboard. Would you consider bringing it to a repair shop? A replacement motherboard could be more affordable than buying an entirely new PC.
