I'm experiencing an unusual problem with Anno 1800. Occasionally, the PC freezes unexpectedly, even after just a short play session or after hours of use. The peculiar part is that when I'm on Discord, my friends' voices are audible but not recognized, the music continues, and the keyboard doesn't respond. The screen remains stuck in a single scene. The only solution is using the reset button. Reviewing the Windows Event Logs didn't reveal any problems beyond the unexpected restart itself. This issue hasn't occurred with any other game I've played, regardless of CPU or GPU load, and my system benchmarks have consistently shown no such problems. The game is set to use DX11, though it seems to trigger more often with DX12. I'm currently running Windows 11 with the latest patch applied and all drivers updated. I'm experiencing the same problem repeatedly. My RX6800 with 5800x, Corsair Vengeance 3600 at 1GHz CL16 has no overclocking options. The game runs smoothly for hours but crashes frequently, just like with other titles. My thought is it's poorly optimized—similar issues appear with Intel and Nvidia games, so it's not due to AMD drivers. Some users reported success after reinstalling, but that didn't work for me. This issue occurs regardless of mods. I'm growing frustrated with companies like Ubisoft and EA, which seem to release games that consistently fail. If anyone has a solution or knows something about this, please share it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. However, I haven't tried reinstalling but completed a full verification game. It didn't make any difference. I still hope someone in the forum has a useful tip or debug method to resolve this issue.

It appears you're experiencing occasional freezing in the browser even when background music plays, despite the system running smoothly otherwise. Some users suggest checking the BIOS settings to disable AMD Global C state, which may relate to power-saving features of your motherboard and CPU. This could be an issue with the chipset or the card manufacturer, not just your CPU. After trying this adjustment, you haven't had any crashes since yesterday, so it might have resolved the problem. Consider giving it a shot.
