Hello, I’m dealing with an unusual problem on my hands. A game appears frozen (the image stays) yet continues to run. If I wait a long time it won’t thaw, but pressing Alt+Tab or the Windows key brings it back to normal. When I interact with something while it’s frozen, the game processes my input correctly. This seems to occur randomly—every 10 seconds or occasionally every few minutes—and it mostly happens in non-Steam games (which I can tolerate) and only when they’re in fullscreen. It appears to be more common in Unity titles. Recently, it also affected the Steam overlay. I’m currently using the game overview and friends screens on the overlay. The issue started while trying to update my online status for a friend in *Remnant: From the Ashes*. I couldn’t change my status because the overlay would freeze instantly when I clicked the dropdown. Pressing Windows showed the status options, but clicking anything made them vanish, even after I pressed the key. All systems are running smoothly—no overheating, no performance tweaks needed. I’ve tried focus trackers, a keylogger, antivirus scans, and checked task manager/autoruns. No suspicious activity detected. I’m not experiencing any other strange behavior on my PC. I’m trying to avoid reinstalling Windows just in case it helps, as it would take time with all my files. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Specs: NZXT N7 B550 Ryzen 5800X3D 32GB RAM RX6800XT, lots of storage (mostly SSDs), no signs of data corruption or SMART issues.
