Occasional startup problems might indicate RAM issues.
Hey everyone, I started assembling my first PC around March 2021. It’s been running smoothly most of the time, but occasionally it would fail to boot, showing memory-related beep codes. Whenever that occurred, I’d reinsert the RAM and it would work again for a while before the issue returned. I’m confident the RAM was installed correctly and passed all MemTest86 checks (four passes, zero errors). I’m looking for insights into what might be causing this problem and any possible solutions. The Memtest86 report is attached below.
System specs: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit 21H2, Build 22000.675 (issues also appear on Windows 10).
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A
Motherboard: ROG B550-F Gaming (WiFi, BIOS 2803, latest)
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Neo RGB PC25600 32GB (2x16GB) F4-3200C16D-32GTZN
Storage: 1 x Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD, 2 x Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200RPM 3.5in HDD
GPU: Colorful iGame GTX1060 3GB
PSU: NZXT C850 850W (80+ Gold)
