While performing certain operations on my computer, my screen suddenly flashes black without cause, displaying a blank half of the display or showing pixel distortion that doesn’t clear. The only solution seems to be stopping the program or restarting the system and trying again. This issue frequently appears in games like Minecraft, Premier Pro, Word, and some YouTube videos (links not recalled). My hardware includes: Windows 11 Home HP 868E BIOS v65.13 (latest), Intel i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz, 8GB RAM, Intel UHD Integrated Graphics, SK hynix BC511 SSD, and a secondary storage device. I use two monitors—one as the default laptop display and another as a small TV—but even with the TV disconnected, the problem persists.

It seems you might be testing the laptop beyond its limits. Checking virtual memory settings helps, but 8 gigabytes of RAM is quite limited now. The UHD quality is also outdated. You could try disabling unused programs to free up resources.

Certainly! A RAM and GPU upgrade can significantly improve performance, but whether it's enough depends on your specific needs and system configuration.

I don’t understand your financial background, so suggesting RAM might be useful could help—but it seems your current machine is from 2019, when CPUs were still emerging. I’d probably recommend upgrading your memory instead. You seem to be stuck with Intel graphics, and for gaming you’re on the lower end until you can afford a better system.
