So: I experience stutters while playing games. In MW2, Shadows Over Loathing, and Death Stranding it happens. When it does, held keys stay pressed and stay locked until the next stutter. Between these moments, my frame rate stays steady with no interruptions. Video link: https://medal.tv/games/cod-modern-warfar...eater=true I recently upgraded my CPU and main SSD, reinstalled Windows, and that’s when the stuttering began. System: Ryzen 5800x3d on ASUS B550i motherboard with EVGA 3080 EKWB, 240mm, 32GB Gskill DR4 at 3000MHz, 2TB Hynix Gold M2, 2TB Silicone Power M2, 2TB Samsung 850 SATA SSD, Corsair 750w Platinum SFX PSU, and LG 48" C2 OLED monitor at 120Hz (gsync). Temperatures are normal – GPU runs around 60°C under load (with Noctua fan), CPU around 75°C. There’s a drop in CPU and GPU usage during lag as shown in Task Manager, but not in HWinfo. What I’ve tried: updated GPU drivers, BIOS, CPU chipset, disabled TPM, set page file to 64GB, undervolted GPU and CPU, adjusted power settings, changed core affinity for games, reinstalled older 5900x, and used new drivers (522.25 and newer). It seems the problem is mainly with my GPU – stuttering only appears when it’s rendering something. Right now, the COD menu runs smoothly but I’m stuttering roughly every 30 seconds while writing this. This issue gets worse over time. It’s less severe on the 5900x compared to the 5800x3d. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
I'll take the latest drivers right away. Weather's okay—GPU runs at 60°C during stress (with Noctua fan tuning), CPU stays at 75°C under load.
I'm using AGESA 1207 now. Ran chkdsk and will try Hard Disk sentinel. The fTPM patch for 1207 caused previous stutters, so I'll check it out. Freezekiller seems worth a look. All other drivers are up to date. sfc /scannow confirmed trimmed/optimized drives shouldn't matter, so I skipped that. Just installing the new Windows version and testing the old drive to see if the problem continues.
This didn't resolve the issue. I haven't returned to my previous storage device either.
