It might relate to CPU limitations. The site suggests checking for a CPU bottleneck. Possible causes include malware or background processes consuming resources.

The site claims this setup has only 1.8% processor bottleneck, meaning anything under 5% shouldn't cause major issues. Based on that, I don't see a significant problem. I also scanned for malware using Malwarebytes and Windows Defender, and no threats were detected. Background tasks during gaming showed no updates or changes.

It seems you're looking for a 500W EVGA PSU that fits the RTX 3060's power needs.

The stuttering seems due to high background activity or a mix of RAM and HDD if the game is on your hard drive. Verify if your RAM operates in dual-channel mode. Try reseating it for optimal performance and consider disabling XMP settings. If installed on HDD, examine its usage and see if switching to SSD improves behavior. Also, power limitations might be a factor—run a GPU stress test to observe performance changes.

I think it's an 80+ White model I own on my HDD. I've tested it on an SSD but the issue persists, getting worse in some cases. It leads to more stuttering. I enabled XMP settings, yet the system won't boot properly—it just powers on and off without showing up in BIOS. Based on what I found, my CPU likely can't manage those memory speeds. I've tried stressing the GPU with Furmark and didn’t notice any performance loss. Now I'm only seeing this problem in games like FH5 and Fall Guys.

A software patch might fix the xmp/docp problem. Have you looked at your motherboard site? What model does it have? Did you adjust your Nvidia control panel for performance?

I've changed my BIOS before, but now they've released a new version online. I'm going to try updating again to check if it resolves the issue. My motherboard is an ASUS PRIME B550M-A and I've set the NVIDIA control panel to performance mode, which only slightly improved frame rates—around 10% or less—and made the game appear very low quality, like 480p.

I would say this setup likely lacks enough power for your system. With the EVGA 500W W1 80+ White PSU delivering about 480W on the 12V rail, it struggles to meet the demands of high-performance GPUs. A better PSU would be needed—ideally something around 600W or higher if you can borrow one.

I regret not having any friends with a 600W power supply. While experimenting with XMP profiles, I found one RAM module was defective. After removing it, the system worked well and improved performance in certain games. Using the other stick caused a black screen. Should I replace my PSU or the faulty RAM?
