Occasional crashes and freezing issues have occurred.
Over the last few months, occasionally my computer would suddenly freeze without any obvious cause. It wasn’t due to heavy usage, but just a random shutdown. The mouse and keyboard stopped responding, even pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del or Alt+F4 didn’t help. When the screen froze, restarting the PC via the power button on the case usually restored everything. Could this be related to faulty hardware or a software glitch?

This has occurred before and after any driver updates for all components, including Mobo BIOS or GPU drivers and Windows. It also happened after updates, so I suspect it isn’t driver-related. I have a RAM issue, but when using ASUS RAM Cache III it doesn’t report any problems here. My RAM problem is more detailed in this post. The issue happens unexpectedly, usually when there’s no load—often around 5% of the time it occurs under GPU idle. CPU idle temps are about 38-45°C, while CPU usage stays between 48-55°C.
