Occasional BSODs and memtest86 issues after installing new RAM.
Hello, a month back I experienced unexpected crashes tied to Chrome memory and BSOD on my PC, without any modifications. Through some investigation, I realized a faulty RAM might be the cause. I performed memtest86 on both modules overnight and observed +200 errors each. Recently, I swapped out both RAM sticks for new Corsair units (Group 3000mhz). After another night of testing, I saw only 7 errors and still faced random BSODs. I've already tried updating BIOS, resetting CMOS, adjusting RAM speed, but consistently failed the test. It's odd that using the release version of BIOS gives more stable performance with fewer crashes compared to the older one. On the latter, I encountered BSOD every time Windows started, whereas the newer BIOS only triggered it roughly every 20-30 minutes. My setup includes: Windows 11, 3 years since installation, OS age 3 years, Ryzen 5 3600, Zotac RTX 2060 MSI, B450 Tomahawk MAX, Corsair CX650, 16GB DDR4 RAM, dual channel PSU. Thanks for the assistance! The dump files are attached below: TITANIUM_MAX_20230201-000004.zip
Inspect the CPU for bent pins. Test it on a different motherboard.
