haven't noticed much improvement after another reinstall; I cleaned the drive but remain uncertain about the problem. It seems texture loading might be the cause. I'm also experiencing stutters during ready or not, especially when entering rooms or shooting suspects—this really frustrated me when my game crashed and caused me to quit. I'm really frustrated with my PC and feel disappointed that I spent a lot on this setup only to have it fail like this.
I don't have a specific model card. Are there any alternatives or better VBios options you'd like to explore?
I've encountered these problems on my 4090, and I also had them on the 3080 before. It's unclear what's causing it since it doesn't appear in every game. Farcry 6 is particularly bad for it. I've noticed that when FPS drops to around 99%, it happens quite unpredictably. It impacts about half of my game collection, which is really frustrating. I don't know the cause, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
I'm nearly certain it's the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING 10GB. Trying to launch Ready or Not again caused the same stutter. Update: could the issue stem from your main case fan being silent in BIOS? Perhaps in certain games your CPU was downclocking. Edit 2: another video showing the stutter appears.
I question the GPU diagnosis. I initially believed it was my GPU too, but completed all tests from NVIDIA—no issues detected. Temperatures are normal, I swapped RAMs, and everything checks out. Possibilities remain: CPU i712700 might be the culprit, or the motherboard could be faulty. The issue seems sporadic, affecting only certain titles. For instance, Witcher handles it well but stabilizes after a while. Any other advice? I also ran timespy on 3Dmark and everything worked perfectly with a score of 31k.
I'm using a Samsung 980 Pro but switched to a Gigabyte SSD for a fresh install. My spare Gigabyte SSD still causes issues. I have Windows running on the other drive too, which makes it even more puzzling. I’m not sure if my motherboard is the problem, though I haven’t changed anything else. I might also try replacing my 3080 with my old 1060 to test if it helps, since it seems like we’re facing the same problem. It’s interesting that my CPU is AMD while yours is Intel, and you have a more powerful system—do you use a water cooler for your CPU? I have a Corsair one, so it’s hard to say for sure.
