I've been dealing with an unusual problem on my PC for months now, and it's been hard to figure out exactly what's going on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! System specs: Ryzen 9 5900X with 32GB (2x16), Crucial Pro 3200MHz DDR4, Crucial P2 1TB NVMe Radeon RX 6800 XT (Sapphire Nitro+ Special Edition, 16GB), 850W Seasonic GM-850 Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC - BIOS F20G, rev 1.1. AMD driver version 32.0.11027.2001. ISSUE: While playing games, my monitor goes black and shows "No Signal." The machine seems to be running normally (lights on, fans spinning) but won't respond to power button or reset signals. I have to cut power and restart. There are no crash reports—no minidumps, no driver logs, nothing. I ran memtest86 to check RAM, stress tests on CPU and GPU via OCCT showed no problems, though recent games like GTA V and Cities Skylines II keep crashing while I can play GTA V for hours. I reinstalled the AMD drivers and Adrenalin after switching to a fresh Windows 11 Pro, but the crashes persist. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

Consider using a different PCIe slot on your motherboard. If you can, try connecting a different GPU.

Trying to limit the PCIe speed to Gen 3.0 may help too. You should still have enough bandwidth to feed that big GPU of yours

After posting DDU again and updating the latest AMD driver without Adrenalin, the problem continued. I tested it in the only other slot on my board, a 4x, but it still didn’t work. After installing Afterburner, it reported a core clock of 2364MHz, which matches the boost clock for my card. I reduced it to 2064MHz, and it held for about half an hour—significantly better than before. I’m considering this might have been the cause. I also checked in the BIOS, hoping it would stabilize during gameplay. I’ll try again tomorrow to see if it improves.

I switched to version 32.0.13031.4034 via the driver-only setup of the Adrenalin installer. That’s the most recent release from AMD, released on March 16, 2025. The chipset and other components are also current based on the versions I have. Perhaps I should take a closer look...

Did you review Sapphire's site beforehand? Some producers release customized drivers tailored for their cards, which might differ from the most recent AMD releases (like ASUS's updates).

It looks like Sapphire is guiding you to get the official AMD drivers from their website.

I’m sure you’ve got the newest AMD version running now. You just played through another session last night and encountered another issue. It doesn’t look like it’s overheating at all.
