Hi, I increased my CPU speed to 4.2ghz, disabled all power-saving features (cool and quiet, c6), and used a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P motherboard. The OC is stable at 1.3 V, but when I turn the PC on it doesn’t boot properly—first it powers on, then shuts off and restarts itself. Setting the default works fine. How can I fix this without affecting the OC? Is this safe for my motherboard and CPU?

previously quite frequent on ASUS and Gigabyte boards during the old double post setup, especially when overclocking, though I haven’t noticed it lately. However, my ASUS boards never suffered any issues when it did. Edit — there might have been a setting in the BIOS you could change, but since I’ve used the double post setup for a long time now, I can’t recall what it was.
