OC vcore 6600k model
OC vcore 6600k model
Ok guys so here's the thing. I have my old system just doing nothing it has 6600k in it and I wanna gift to my little cousin. I want to give it to him OCd (which was back when i used to use this rig IIRC 4.5 / 4.6) But I've been out of the OC game for a loooooong time. I've found my stable OC using XTU (don't worry my intention is to set bios) at 1.28V IN XTU but when I run the stress test the Vcore fluctuates a tad. At idle im at like 1.344 (this is just cause I'm in high performance mode I do plan on going back to balanced) and I get Current / Min / Max Vcore (max is the idle one) Min was 1.284 and AVG was 1.302 what I don't understand is which value to use in my BIOS judging by these. Any tips? BTW before you recommend trying for higher, I've already tried. I need to ramp up the voltage like almost a full point to achieve 4.6 so not worth it
Voltage changes are mainly affected by the Load Line Calibration choice, which is typical. Identifying a suitable LLC configuration is essential. I won’t go into specifics here; you should research further since proper setup significantly influences stability.
I understand the situation but I'm curious about baseline Vcore more than the reasons for its changes. After adjusting my Vcore in XTU to 1.275V, stress tests completed fine without any problems. However, when I set the same voltage in BIOS at the same frequency and used high LLC, OCCT detected errors within the first ten minutes, which is why I was concerned.
